  1. Who are you?

    We were hoping you'd ask! Neighborhoodies is a small company based in Brooklyn, with a retail store in Brooklyn's DUMBO area. In the years since Michael founded the company on his lunch break in the fall of 2002, we've acquired hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic customers. we're a small company focused on magical customer service. Also, we're the only company in America that still hand-stitches hoodies, one-at-a-time, just for you.   2. Where are Neighborhoodies made?

    Brooklyn, USA. We do all our work in-house in our studio because we don't trust anyone to do any of our work for us. That's because we're perfectionists and have obsessive graphic design personalities. We care about each millimeter of your custom-crafted garment. We spend way too much time thinking about each order. We have staff meetings over your letter size. We occasionally brawl and swear, all because of you. Actually, there's usually some kind of discussion about each and every order that's made. We have a quality line that involves seven people handling each order along the way--that's why people go apepoop over their Neighborhoodies.

  3. I was reading your Love Letters, and, gosh, do people really freak out for Neighborhoodies like that in real life?

    We've seen many people cry.

  4. This will make an awesome gift, but I don't know what color the person I'm buying for would want.

    How about a gift certificate? Just add a gift certificate to your shopping cart and you will be sent your voucher code immediately via e-mail. Your buddy will use the voucher code during checkout to receive their credit. This way you get all the glory for having given such an awesome gift and none of the guilt for buying them the wrong size.

  5. How can I play kickball with you?

    If you live in or around New York City, be informed that trash will be talked, things taken to da house, and noses bloodied every Sunday as the Neighborhoodies staff and friends rock a pick-up game of touch kickball (tackle if there is snow cover).   6. Who are the models on the website?

    The sexy people you see on our site are Neighborhoodies staff, friends and customers.

  7. Can I date them?

    To date one of these people you must go through a humiliating process that involves mustard.

  8. Can I be the Neighborhoodie of the Day?

    You can. Submit a picture of your Neighborhoodie here. Or you can contact us . Here are a couple of tips to ensure that your photo gets chosen as NOTD: Take a colorful, interesting shot. Enclose a short note (see the NOTD page for examples) explaining what your hoodie means and why it rocks so hard. Casually show some nipple. Make a diorama featuring scaled-down mock-ups of your neighborhood and sweatshirt. You get it....
